City Swim, the UAE’s largest open water race is gearing up for its first of four fantastic events taking place across the Emirate this season. The inaugural event will see over 200 swimmers take to the water, covering a range of distances at the beautiful Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai on Saturday 8 October.
Originating from the canals in Amsterdam and Hudson River in New York, the open water swimming event will move to other stunning locations including Sharjah at the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa (26 November 2016), Abu Dhabi at Le Meridien (21 January 2017) and Ajman at the Ajman Saray (4 March 2017), further locations are expected to be added in 2017.

The organisers of the event invite everyone from beginners to experienced swimmers to join in what will be a new and unique series of swimming races in the UAE. All swims are classified into different age groups with distances varying from 250 meters to 2,500 meters. Each swim will be suitably manned by expert kayakers who will be at hand every stroke of the way and a post-race celebration will take place for everyone that has taken part including friends and family.
